The right soil where children will play
How Pilbäck Mark & Anläggning handled contaminated soil at the site of a new preschool in Enskede — with full control over sampling, documentation and the right receiving facility.

A preschool on contaminated land
Pilbäck Mark & Anläggning (PMA) is building a new preschool on Ramviksvägen in Enskede, just outside Stockholm. The site previously held a preschool built in the 1970s. When the land was filled back then, environmental awareness was not what it is today — and the sampling PMA has now carried out shows the soil contains high levels of metals.
Because a preschool is being built on the site, where children will play, it is critical that the soil is good. PMA has therefore had to be very thorough in investigating contamination in the ground and ensuring that the material is driven to different landfills that can receive these specific masses — a project that requires significant planning and control, both for efficiency and sound project economics.
Correct and complete documentation throughout the project
“We have worked with Pinpointer before and know it's a very smooth digital service where everything is correct throughout the project. They are a reliable partner offering both correct and complete documentation as well as receivers for the material.”
— Linnea Moqvist, project engineer at PMA
With Pinpointer, PMA was able to link sampling to each load, document contamination levels and ensure the material was driven to landfills permitted to receive it — all gathered and traceable throughout the project.
Time saved — and confidence in the documentation
"Time is always a valuable aspect of our work, and by using Pinpointer, time is exactly what we gain."
