Example: what higher load utilisation can mean
Fuller loads mean fewer transports for the same volume of material — and fewer truck and machine hours. The size of the effect depends on your current routines, but an example shows the order of magnitude:
A contractor running 1,000 loads per year and lifting load utilisation from 75% to 90% needs fewer transports for the same volume of material. Fewer loads save both transport cost and time — and CO₂ drops at the same rate.
